(a) Route 260 is from Atlantic Avenue in Alameda to Route 880 in Oakland near Seventh and Harrison Streets. (b) The relinquished former portion of Route 260 within the City of Alameda between Central Avenue and Atlantic Avenue is not a state highway and is not eligible for adoption under Section 81. For this relinquished former portion of Route 260, the City of Alameda shall maintain within its jurisdiction signs directing motorists to the continuation of Route 260.
