On and after October 1, 1995 , no Senator shall receive mileage under section 17 of the Act of July 28, 1866 ( 2 U.S.C. 43 ). On and after October 1, 1995 , the President of the Senate shall not receive mileage under the first section of the Act of July 8, 1935 ( 2 U.S.C. 43a ).”
