The state hospitals under the jurisdiction of the State Department of Developmental Services shall comply with the California Food Sanitation Act, Article 1 (commencing with Section 111950) of Chapter 4 of Part 6 of Division 104 of the Health and Safety Code. The state hospitals under the jurisdiction of the State Department of Developmental Services shall also comply with the California Uniform Retail Food Facilities Law, Chapter 4 (commencing with Section 113700) of Part 7 of Division 104. Sanitation, health and hygiene standards that have been adopted by a city, county, or city and county that are more strict than those of the California Uniform Retail Food Facilities Law or the California Food Sanitation Act shall not be applicable to state hospitals that are under the jurisdiction of the State Department of Developmental Services.
