(a) The fee for a temporary registration issued under Section 4004 is one-quarter of the annual fees in Division 3 (commencing with Section 4000) of this code and Part 5 (commencing with Section 10701) of Division 2 of the Revenue and Taxation Code, for the period that the vehicle is to be operated in this state. (b) The fee for a trip permit issued under Section 4004 is forty-five dollars ($45) for each commercial motor vehicle.
