(a) (1) Unless expressly directed otherwise, a report to be submitted to the Legislature pursuant to this article is to be submitted in compliance with Section 9795 of the Government Code, except that an electronic copy may be submitted to the Secretary of the Senate, unless specifically requested to submit a printed copy of the report, with an electronic copy submitted to Legislative Counsel in compliance with subdivision (c) of Section 10242.5 of the Government Code. (2) Any report that is expressly directed to be submitted to a committee of the Legislature shall be submitted as an electronic copy, unless specifically requested to submit a printed copy by chair of that committee, with an electronic copy submitted to Legislative Counsel in compliance with subdivision (c) of Section 10242.5 of the Government Code. (b) Any report required to be submitted to the Governor pursuant to this article shall be submitted as an electronic copy unless specifically requested to submit a printed copy of the report by the Governor.
