(a) A community college district shall give first priority for the expenditure of the revenues derived from the sale of recyclable materials resulting from the implementation of the district’s integrated waste management plan for the purposes of offsetting the recycling program costs imposed pursuant to this chapter. (b) A community college district shall expend all cost savings that result from implementation of the district’s integrated waste management plan pursuant to this chapter to fund the continued implementation of the plan consistent with the requirement that revenues from the sale of recyclable materials be used to offset recycling program costs, as specified in Sections 12167 and 12167.1 of the Public Contract Code. (c) A community college district shall provide information on the quantities of recyclable materials collected for recycling annually to the board, according to a schedule determined by the board and the district.
