(a) For purposes of this article, “covered electronic waste” has the same meaning as set forth in Section 42463. (b) On and after January 1, 2004, when a county or regional agency revises the countywide or regional integrated waste management plan and its elements pursuant to Section 41770, the city household hazardous waste element and county household hazardous waste element in the plan shall identify those actions the city, county, or regional agency is taking to promote the collection, consolidation, recovery, and recycling of covered electronic waste.
