(a) All of the following shall be verified: (1) A petition, report, or account filed pursuant to this code. (2) An objection or response filed pursuant to this code to a petition, report, or account. (b) Except as provided in Section 1023, the verification shall be made as follows: (1) A petition shall be verified by the petitioner or, if there are two or more parties joining in the petition, by any of them. (2) A report or account shall be verified by the person who has the duty to make the report or account or, if there are two or more persons having a duty to make the report or account, by any of them. (3) An objection or response shall be verified by the objector or respondent or, if there are two or more parties joining in the objection or response, by any of them.
