(a) While a school, college, or community college is in session, school-based California Cadet Corps units shall be under the guidance and control of the principal, president, director, or chief administrative officer of the school, college, or community college who shall be responsible for making regulations with the approval of the Adjutant General regarding the moral, educational, and physical welfare of the cadets. (b) An independent California Cadet Corps unit shall be under the guidance and control of the head of the sponsoring organization, who shall be responsible for ensuring compliance with California Cadet Corps regulations, securing and maintaining California Cadet Corps-issued state property, and following the established curricula of the California Cadet Corps.
