(a) The provisions of this chapter concerning the employment of minors, and the civil penalties for violations of those provisions, are fully applicable to every person who owns or controls the real property upon which a minor is employed, whether or not that person is the minor’s employer, if the minor’s employment is for the benefit of the person, and the person has knowingly permitted the violation or continuation of violations. (b) The posting of a notice pursuant to Section 49140 of the Education Code does not exempt any person from this chapter.
