This chapter does not apply to any of the following: (a) An attorney at law admitted to practice in this state, when performing his or her duties as an attorney at law. (b) Photographers, estimators, appraisers, engineers, and arbitrators, who are employed exclusively by a public insurance adjuster for the purpose of furnishing technical assistance to a licensed public insurance adjuster. (c) A person who negotiates or settles claims arising under a life or health insurance policy or an annuity contract. (d) A person who settles subrogation claims between insurers.
