(a) For the purposes of this section, the supplemental Homekey program shall be the same as the program set forth in Section 50675.1.3, except that the applicants are limited to those described in meeting the criteria set forth in subdivisions (b) and (c). (b) Cities and counties that are eligible for round 5 shall be eligible, separately, for supplemental Homekey funding pursuant to this section. (c) To be eligible for the supplemental Homekey program, a city or county must satisfy the following: (1) Have a compliant Housing Element as defined in Section 65589.9 of the Government Code at the time program applications must be submitted. (2) Have an approved regionally coordinated homelessness action plan pursuant to this chapter. (d) On or before July 1, 2024, the council shall make an application available for supplemental Homekey funding. (e) Funding allocated by this section shall consist of round 5 funding provided in paragraph (3) of subdivision (a) of Section 50234.
