(a) Deposits collected in the Monterey County Courthouse Construction Fund shall continue through the 30th year after the initial year for which the surcharge or additional penalty, as defined in Section 76000, is collected, or through the 30th year after any borrowings are made for any construction funded pursuant to Section 76100. (b) The Monterey County Treasurer shall deposit those amounts specified by the board of supervisors by resolution into the Monterey County Courthouse Construction Fund pursuant to Section 76000. However, deposits to the fund shall continue through whatever period of time is necessary to repay any borrowings made by Monterey County on or before January 1, 1998, to pay for construction provided in this chapter.
