(a) There shall be one marshal who shall be appointed by the Shasta County Superior Court. (b) The board of supervisors may transfer certain duties of the sheriff to the marshal pursuant to Section 26608.3. (c) All fees collected by the marshal’s office shall be deposited with the county treasurer and credited to the general fund.
