GOV §68933: (a) There is hereby established the Appellate Court Trust Fund, the proceeds of which shall be used for the purpose of funding the Supreme Court, courts of appeal, and the Judicial Council.

(a) There is hereby established the Appellate Court Trust Fund, the proceeds of which shall be used for the purpose of funding the Supreme Court, courts of appeal, and the Judicial Council. (b) The fund, upon appropriation by the Legislature, shall be apportioned by the Judicial Council to the courts of appeal, the Supreme Court, and the Judicial Council, as determined by the Judicial Council, taking into consideration all other funds available to each and the needs of each, in a manner that promotes equal access to the courts, ensures the ability of the courts to carry out their functions, and promotes implementation of statewide policies. (c) Notwithstanding any other provision of law, the fees listed in subdivision (d) shall all be transmitted for deposit in the Appellate Court Trust Fund within the State Treasury. (d) This section applies to all fees collected pursuant to Section 68926, excluding that portion subject to Section 68926.3; subdivision (b) of Section 68926.1; and Sections 68927, 68928, 68929, 68930, and 68932. (e) The Appellate Court Trust Fund shall be invested in the Surplus Money Investment Fund and all interest earned shall be allocated to the Appellate Court Trust Fund semiannually and used as specified in this section.
