“State safety member” also includes members employed in the Department of Parks and Recreation in the following classifications: Manager I, State Park; Manager II, State Park; Manager III, State Park; Manager IV, State Park; and Manager V, State Park. New incumbents to these classes who are not peace officers, shall receive the training required by the Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training within two years of appointment. “State safety service,” with respect to a member who becomes a state safety member pursuant to this section, shall also include service prior to September 22, 1982.
