FAC §14901: The Legislature hereby finds and declares that it is the intent of this chapter to do all of the following: (a) Enable the feed and feeding industry, with the aid of the state, to ensure in every way

The Legislature hereby finds and declares that it is the intent of this chapter to do all of the following: (a) Enable the feed and feeding industry, with the aid of the state, to ensure in every way possible a clean and wholesome supply of meat, milk, and eggs for the benefit of the consumer. (b) Provide assurance to the consumer-buyer of commercial feed that the product he or she purchases is properly identified and of the quality and quantity represented by the manufacturer of the commercial feed. (c) Provide funds for the administration and enforcement of this chapter by an inspection tonnage tax on commercial feed to be paid by any person that distributes commercial feed to a consumer-buyer in this state. (d) Enable the commercial feed industry, pursuant to regulations or procedures adopted or established by the director, to implement and maintain an efficient program of inspection and analysis of commercial feed.
