As used in this chapter, the following terms have the following meanings: (a) “Acquisition” means the acquisition of any interest in real property. (b) “Coastal zone” means the coastal zone as defined and mapped pursuant to Section 30103 of the Public Resources Code. (c) “Local public agency” means a city, county, city and county, regional park or open-space district, recreation and park district, resource conservation district, association of governments, or joint powers agency whose jurisdiction is wholly or partially within the coastal zone or in the San Francisco Bay region.
