When the warrant is presented to the county treasurer for payment, he or she shall endorse, register, advertise, and pay it, with interest at the rate of 5 percent per annum, in the manner prescribed, as nearly as may be, for county warrants in Sections 29821 to 29824, inclusive, and Sections 29826 and 29827 of the Government Code.
