The following definitions govern the construction of this chapter: (a) “Student body organization” means an entity formed or operating pursuant to Section 89300 or a student body organization that is established at a campus of the University of California. (b) “Student-imposed athletics fee” means a fee proposed by the governing body of a student body organization, and imposed or increased pursuant to approval by a vote of a majority of the registered students voting in an election at a campus, branch, or location of the California State University or the University of California, for the purposes of supporting intercollegiate athletics programs at that institution.
