Student internship programs shall be joint projects of school districts and teacher preparation institutions, and such internship programs shall be submitted to the commission for approval. Approved internship programs shall be subject to periodic review by the commission. Upon completion of an approved internship program, with district and teacher preparation institution certification, the commission shall approve the teacher intern.
