(a) The director shall by regulation establish fees for approval of basic education and continuing education courses or their equivalent, or for the evaluation of petitions of applicants based upon claims of equivalency pursuant to Section 11340. The fees established by regulation shall be sufficient to cover the costs incurred by the bureau in processing applications for course approvals and petitions for equivalency. (b) The director shall by regulation establish fees for approval of courses of study required to be taken by applicants for licenses.
