(a) Commencing January 1, 2022, subject to subdivision (f) of Section 14184.102, the department shall continue to implement the Drug Medi-Cal organized delivery system (DMC-ODS) program, previously authorized under the California Medi-Cal 2020 Demonstration pursuant to Article 5.5 (commencing with Section 14184), as a component of CalAIM and in accordance with this article and the CalAIM Terms and Conditions. (b) A county, or consortium of counties in a regional model, that elects to administer, or elects to continue to administer, a DMC-ODS pilot shall enter into and maintain an intergovernmental agreement with the department. Those counties shall comply with all applicable CalAIM Terms and Conditions and any guidance issued by the department pursuant to subdivision (d) of Section 14184.102 as a condition of participation. (c) An election by a county, or consortium of counties in a regional model, to participate as a DMC-ODS pilot shall be considered voluntary for purposes of all state and federal laws.
