Unless the context otherwise requires, the definitions in this section govern the construction of this chapter. (a) “Authorized vendor” means a retail commercial enterprise, authorized by the department to sell SNO-PARK permits established by this chapter. (b) “Department” means the Department of Parks and Recreation. (c) “Fund” means the Winter Recreation Fund. (d) “Designated parking area” means an area located, constructed, maintained, and signed pursuant to this chapter. (e) “Winter recreation” means any recreational activity principally dependent upon snow-covered ground, including, but not limited to, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, sledding, ice fishing, snow camping, dogsledding, and snowmobiling.
