(a) Notwithstanding any other provision of law, the director may grant, in trust, and subject to the conditions set forth in this section, all of the rights, title, and interest of the State of California in all lands located within the boundaries of Durham Ferry State Park, including any improvements on those lands, to the San Joaquin County Office of Education. (b) The San Joaquin County Office of Education shall use and maintain any lands, and any improvements thereon, that are granted to the office pursuant to subdivision (a) only for park, recreational, or educational purposes.
