The commissioner shall charge and collect, in advance, the following fees: (a) For filing any application for a license, permit, or certificate of authority when a fee for either filing the application or issuing the license, permit, or certificate is not elsewhere specified in this code, twenty-two dollars ($22). (b) For filing any application to take any qualifying examination required by this code to be taken by a licensee other than an insurer, or to be taken by any applicant for a license other than a certificate of authority when a fee for filing that application or giving that examination is not elsewhere specified in this code, seventy-two dollars ($72).
