INS §10509.9201: (a) This article shall apply to any sale of, or recommendation made to a consumer to purchase, exchange, or replace, as defined in paragraph (14) of subdivision (a) of Section 10509.

(a) This article shall apply to any sale of, or recommendation made to a consumer to purchase, exchange, or replace, as defined in paragraph (14) of subdivision (a) of Section 10509.9203, an annuity. (b) This article does not preclude, preempt, or otherwise interfere with the application of any other laws of this state that may apply in any matter involving the sale of an annuity that is subject to this article.
