HSC §443.4: (a) An individual may at any time withdraw or rescind their request for an aid-in-dying drug, or decide not to ingest an aid-in-dying drug, without regard to the individual’s mental state.

(b) A prescription for an aid-in-dying drug provided under this part may not be written without the attending physician directly, and not through a designee, offering the individual an opportunity to withdraw or rescind the request. (c) If the individual decides to transfer care to another physician, upon request of the individual the physician shall transfer all relevant medical records including written documentation including the dates of the individual’s oral and written requests seeking to obtain a prescription for an aid-in-dying drug.
