(a) The department shall adopt regulations, consistent with federal law, concerning the transportation of hazardous waste from this state across international boundaries. These regulations shall include, but are not limited to, both of the following: (1) All applicable federal regulations adopted pursuant to the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act of 1976, as amended, (42 U.S.C. Sec. 6901 et seq.). (2) Procedures to carry out Section 25160 for the purpose of monitoring international transboundary shipments of hazardous waste. (b) The department shall adopt procedures for the purpose of receiving information collected by the Environmental Protection Agency pursuant to Section 262.50 of Title 40 of the Code of Federal Regulations concerning the transportation of hazardous waste across international boundaries.
