(a) Every residential care facility for the elderly that is licensed or has a valid special permit therefor pursuant to Section 1569.10 shall provide a copy of the disaster and mass casualty plan required pursuant to Section 87223 of Title 22 of the California Code of Regulations to any fire department, law enforcement agency, or civil defense or other disaster authority in the area or community in which the facility is located, upon request by the fire department, law enforcement agency, or civil defense or other disaster authority. Section 1569.40 shall not apply to this section. (b) The department is not required to monitor compliance with this section as part of its regulatory monitoring functions.
