(a) No person shall operate a vessel other than a recreational vessel for 24 hours if the person is found by a peace officer to have an alcohol concentration of 0.01 percent or more in his or her blood. The peace officer shall order the person out of service for 24 hours. (b) This section shall become operative on January 1, 1992.
