(a) Each person filing a report pursuant to this article shall provide each beneficiary of a gift listed within the report the following information: (1) The date and amount of each gift reportable by the beneficiary. (2) A description of the goods or services provided to the beneficiary. (b) The information required to be disclosed pursuant to subdivision (a) shall be provided to the beneficiary within 30 days following the end of each calendar quarter in which the gift was provided. For the purposes of meeting the disclosure requirements of this section, a lobbyist firm or lobbyist employer may provide the beneficiary a copy of the activity expense section of the report submitted to the Secretary of State pursuant to this article. (c) The remedies provided in Chapter 3 (commencing with Section 83100) constitute the exclusive penalty for a violation of this section. The remedies provided in Chapter 11 (commencing with Section 91000) do not apply to this section.
