The board of supervisors may, by resolution, authorize any county officer to: (a) Perform the duties required of the clerk of the board of supervisors under this article. (b) Approve the security for payment of taxes required pursuant to subdivision (b) of Section 66464 if that county officer also performs the other duties required of the clerk of the board of supervisors under that subdivision.
