(a) Prior to July 1, 2015, three hundred twenty-one million dollars ($321,000,000) of the one billion two hundred million dollars ($1,200,000,000) of loans from the Traffic Congestion Relief Fund to the General Fund was repaid using tribal gaming compact revenues. In 2016, an additional one hundred seventy-three million dollars ($173,000,000) was repaid from the General Fund. (b) The remaining seven hundred six million dollars ($706,000,000) of loans from the Traffic Congestion Relief Fund to the General Fund shall be repaid pursuant to Section 14556.8.
