All existing public buildings, when renovated or remodeled, shall be retrofitted to meet the minimum standards, consistent with subdivision (d) of Section 2-5301 of Title 24 of the California Code of Regulations (California Building Code), established pursuant to Division 15 (commencing with Section 25000) of the Public Resources Code applicable to the building.
