Notwithstanding any provision of law to the contrary, a school may not require a pupil or a pupil’s family to submit to or participate in any of the following: (a) Any assessment, analysis, evaluation, or monitoring of the quality or character of the pupil’s home life. (b) Any form of parental screening or testing. (c) Any nonacademic home-based counseling program. (d) Parent training. (e) Any prescribed family education service plan. (f) Nothing in this section shall be construed as preventing the screening, testing, or training of public school employees.
