(a) For purposes of this section, “healing arts board” means any board, division, or examining committee in the Department of Consumer Affairs that licenses or certifies health professionals. (b) A healing arts board shall require a licensee or registrant who electronically renews their license or registration to provide to that board the licensee’s or registrant’s individual National Provider Identifier, if they have one. (c) A violation of this section shall not constitute a crime.
