Except as to communications described in paragraph (2) of subdivision (n) of Section 11713.1 of the Vehicle Code, it is unlawful for any person to use the terms “invoice,” “dealer invoice,” “wholesale price,” or similar terms that refer to a dealer’s cost for a motor vehicle in an advertisement for the sale or lease of a vehicle, or advertise that the selling price of a vehicle is above, below, or at either of the following: (a) The manufacturer’s or distributor’s invoice or selling price to a dealer. (b) A dealer’s cost.
